The artwork for BEST ALBUM『VESTIGE OF SCRATCHES』 (2018.1.2 RELEASE) has just been unveiled. The huge sculpture featured in this artwork has been realized in collaboration with Koji Yoda, art director of many works by DIR EN GREY, and supervised by the band’s members. All the works DIR EN GREY have released during these 20 years of activity have been represented in this artwork as a enormous mass of steel that fights to bring out all of human feelings that it contains. In the inside, an infinite number of thrones evokes the 《PAIN》 and the 《INTENSITY》: it symbolize all of the central themes in DIR EN GREY music.
Also, we inform you that the contents of the 【First Press Limited Version】 have been partially changed. After discussing with Hiroyuki Kondo, who have been working at DIR EN GREY’s video related releases since their foundation 20 years ago, DIR EN GREY decided that the bonus footage, planned to be a Shot In One Take performance of the re-recorder songs, will feature an edited performances of the 3 re-reordered songs, not an one-shoot performance as planned, in order to bring all their fans with the best quality possible.
